Congratulations to three of our MarCloud Consulting experts for being recognised as Salesforce Marketing Champions! Here's what it means.

This blog was written before Pardot was renamed to Marketing Cloud Account Engagement. You can read more about the name change and what it means here.

We’re over the moon to share that three of our MarCloud Consulting experts - Jake, Laura, and Tom - have recently been recognised as Salesforce Marketing Champions!

The highly-impressive Salesforce Marketing Champion’ title is awarded in recognition and celebration of high-achieving Salesforce experts and advocates who are masters at their craft.

And while we obviously already knew about Jake, Laura, and Tom’s top-notch customer service, expert knowledge, and results-driven attitude, it’s nice to see them being recognised outside of the MarCloud family too.

We could go on forever about how excited we are for them, but let’s see what they think. Here are a few words from the winners themselves…

Personalised customer journeys is what Jake is all about. Through his involvement with some pretty impressive FMCG brands from all over the world, Jake knows how to deliver exceptional customer service, and squeeze every last bit out of an analysis report to maximise ROI.

How does it feel to achieve this recognition?

To be honest, it feels unbelievable! It’s been a great year for me professionally with some of the efforts that I am most proud of being:

  • Running an award-winning Pardot campaign
  • Getting involved in webinar hosting with Salesforce (psst, you can watch it here).
  • Creating MarCloud’s onboarding plan, which has generated lots of Salesforce talent.
  • One of three MarCloud Salesforce Marketing Champions - of course!

There has definitely been a lot of hard work, so to be recognised as a Salesforce Marketing Champion really is special to me and acts as a key milestone in my career.

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

Tom will tell you, I am a total numbers/operations man! I love proving MarCloud’s worth by driving revenue through over-performing campaigns that generate as much ROI on MarCloud’s time and the clients’ Salesforce tech stack as possible. I also love problem-solving and going through the adoption stage of new systems, as well as tightening up operational processes both for our clients and for MarCloud internally. 

What’s your favourite part about being a part of the Salesforce community?

This one has to be that you can be yourself. I will never forget a call with the Pardot success team where the agenda was keep Pardot weird’. This just speaks to me and is something that I will always want to be a part of. 

The Salesforce community really is something special and something that I enjoy, so I feel privileged to be in such a position to be able to impact it as much as I feel I can. 

What’s something people might not know about you?

This is a tricky one as I am quite literally an open book! Something that some people may find surprising is that in my lifetime I have lived in a total of 17 properties, at the ripe old age of 29! The joys of living in London for most of my adult life.

Laura’s expertise in Pardot is founded by a strong curiosity in all things tech. She works tirelessly to find new and different ways to improve a client’s Pardot account, and identify opportunities that integrate and enhance the wider marketing strategy.

How does it feel to achieve this recognition?

Amazing! I'm looking forward to exchanging ideas with other Marketing Champions and learning from other professionals in the community. Receiving this alongside Tom and Jake shows how MarCloud is being recognised by Salesforce and I’m really glad to be part of the team. 

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

Every day I get to come up with solutions, workarounds, new ideas for different clients which I love. Pardot to me is all about removing manual processes for users, and being able to automate aspects for clients on a daily basis to make their job easier gives me such joy. 

What’s your favourite part about being a part of the Salesforce community?

The Salesforce community cannot keep secrets. I love the way every person loves to share knowledge and is always willing to help others come up with solutions. I love working collaboratively and it's so much fun doing it with others no matter their location! 

What’s something people might not know about you?

I am double-jointed in my elbows, knees and hips. I believe this has what’s got me to 28 without ever breaking a bone.

Tom, MarCloud Founder and Managing Director

Tom Ryan Pardot Consultant

Tom built his passion for MarCloud over a steady career consulting in countries all over the world. Steadfast in his drive to see MarCloud become the go-to place for Pardot expertise, Tom continues to stay true to his goal of creating a team of experts who are the best of the best.

How does it feel to achieve this recognition?

After spending 5+ years being a Pardot consultant and writing content to educate the community, I feel incredibly proud to receive this recognition as it validates all the efforts I’ve put into my work over the years. I will always strive to be better so this is a great checkpoint for me to know that I’m heading in the right direction with my passion. 

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

It’s techy, it’s marketing and it’s business. All in all, my dream job. The greatest satisfaction I get from knowing Pardot inside and out is the reactions from clients when I can tell them how to solve their problems in 10 minutes when they’ve had weeks of internal discussions and not yet come to a solution. 

What’s your favourite part about being a part of the Salesforce community?

The people, their collaboration and the shared passion for technology. 

What’s something people might not know about you?

I didn’t have the internet in my house until I was around 14 years old, which is odd, considering I’ve always loved computers and tech. This also means I was late to MSN and MySpace so I only enjoyed it for a short period because people got bored of it… I did get a Blackberry in college though so I used BBM to make up for the lost time.
