In true Salesforce fashion, the way Salesforce AI tools are named has created confusion on the differences between older Einstein features and the new Marketing/Sales/Service/Commerce GPT products.
In a nutshell, the overarching name for all Salesforce AI solutions is ‘Einstein.’
Within Einstein, there are various AI products grouped by business function:
Sales AI (for Sales Cloud)
Customer service AI (for Service Cloud)
Marketing AI (for Marketing Cloud)
Commerce AI (for Commerce Cloud)
‘Marketing AI’ includes all the AI functionality built into Marketing Cloud. Historically, Einstein for Marketing Cloud acts as an AI assistant, helping to automate tasks and suggest improvements to marketing campaigns.
Marketing GPT on the other hand, is different altogether.
Marketing GPT is Salesforce’s newest AI functionality. It takes AI-powered marketing to a whole new level by leveraging the capabilities of GPT-3.5, the latest iteration of OpenAI’s renowned language model. Embedded into the content builders, Marketing GPT can do the heavy lifting for you by creating marketing AI-generated content.
It’s a powerful tool… but proceed with caution!
As with any AI, it’s vital to get up to speed with when to rely on Marketing GPT and know how to use it wisely. There are plenty of pitfalls marketers can fall into that could harm your campaigns.
To help, we’ve written an entire eBook that reveals everything you need to know. With ‘A Guide to Salesforce Marketing GPT’ in your arsenal, you’ll be crystal clear on how to tap into Marketing GPT while adhering to AI best practices.
