The MarCloud Talent Academy

Before we dive into the details, it’s important to note that the vision behind MarCloud’s Talent Academy has always been a part of our business philosophy. 

The only difference now is that we are looking to formalise the academy to capture, grow and nurture that future Salesforce talent. The MarCloud Talent Academy's mission is to give future candidates a potential route to a career in Salesforce consulting, that may otherwise be blocked or barred by high barriers to entry.

There are three aspects to the program:

1. Nurturing existing skills

We employ people with essential base skills such as web development or proven initiative on Trailhead or otherwise. These people would typically not be able to get an immediate full-time role in a Salesforce position, but they show all of the characteristics of someone with a lot of potential. 

Our job is to expose new talent to problems that will enable and upskill them, whilst still providing value to the company with resources. 

2. Setting targets and expectations

While billable targets and expectations for academy recruits are a lot lower than a typical Delivery Consultant role, they are still set. This allows room to go slow, learn and create opportunities to improve the quality of service in the role. We encourage shadowing the team on calls to absorb as much knowledge as possible and work towards ‘graduating’ into a key position within the team.

From a client perspective, ensuring accountability through targets and deliverables ensures the standard of work delivered does not slip. Although, client accounts are always assigned an experienced and knowledgeable Lead Consultant, of course.

3. Room to grow

People in the MarCloud Talent Academy are given room to explore their interests in different Salesforce disciplines and grow into the role they choose. 

They might discover they are adept in coding or Marketing Cloud or Sales Cloud... It's up to them where they go next. We can guide them towards where think they are the best fit but ultimately, as long as they are providing value to our clients, they can move in any direction.

Lastly, we have dedicated academy resources, alongside leadership teams to shepherd the journey of our promising Salesforce talent. This isn’t a temporary recruitment drive, it’s a long-term program built for generating and nurturing careers!
