Of the thousands of marketing automation software available to marketers these days, there are a handful that can be considered full-service, premium solutions. When choosing between these various marketing automation tools for your business, you’ll likely ask yourself the million dollar question; why Pardot?

It’s a question Tom Ryan, the Founder of MarCloud Consulting, often hears from clients just starting out with their marketing automation implementation.

It’s also one he had to answer himself, years ago.

Having started his career within a specialist B2B marketing agency, Tom was naturally drawn to the technology aspect of marketing.

He felt the power of automation combined with great marketing strategy and best practice, was an area that was destined to grow in importance for businesses.

Not only this, Tom’s skills fit perfectly with running marketing automation campaigns, thanks to a background in email automation, inbound marketing, and some hands-on experience with popular automation platforms..

With this in mind, Tom moved into the fintech world, running marketing automation campaigns for a well-known online loan provider.

The platform of choice for this provider was Pardot.

Very quickly, Tom and his colleagues focused on becoming the marketing leaders in their space and as a result, attracted enquiries from other fintech companies in need of support and training on the Pardot platform.

A natural preference and flair for Pardot had made Tom known amongst the industry.

So, when Tom’s employer relocated their offices out of the city, Tom took the opportunity to move into Pardot consulting full-time.

A joint venture was formed between Tom and a colleague from his previous company but after a year, they went their separate ways and Tom founded MarCloud Consulting so he could continue educating and supporting businesses in Europe, Australia and the US with Pardot.

Circling back to the question then, why Pardot? At this stage in his career, Tom could have launched a marketing automation consultancy that worked across multiple platforms. The demand is certainly there.

The answer is, Tom’s preference for Pardot is authentic.

Plus, delivering consultancy on the Pardot automation solution alone means Tom is truly an up-to-date expert in this specific solution, rather than having his attention strewn across other tech.

As Tom puts it, “I would rather be an expert in one platform rather than a jack of all trades. Clients who work with MarCloud Consulting are confident they are working with a team that know Pardot inside-out and will stay up to date on all of the latest improvements”.

Why Pardot for your business?

In a nutshell, the integration between Pardot and Salesforce is so seamless and the constant developing of the systems is so advanced, that clients are being supported by an ever-evolving platform.

As marketers, we all know that having technology that progresses with trends and demand is vital to our marketing success.

If you’re using Salesforce CRM, Pardot is the natural go-to solution for B2B marketing and lead generation.

Even if you’re not, Pardot can still be the right platform for you. Our About Pardot page gives you just a few reasons why.

Of course, all automation solutions have their pitfalls and Pardot is no different. At MarCloud we feel that the only real downfall of Pardot is that the out of the box landing page editor isn’t great. Hence, we need custom coded templates built by developers who know how to code specifically for Pardot (and for the record, MarCloud has a team of developers who do exactly this, plus pre-made Pardot templates available to buy).

If you’re mulling over the question why Pardot?’ perhaps one of our consultants can help. Whether you have questions or would like a demo of the system, get in touch and we can talk it through.
