Marketing Cloud Growth is unique in that it's built on the core Salesforce platform; Einstein 1. Marketers in search of a new marketing automation tool can purchase MC Growth if they use Salesforce Enterprise or Unlimited editions. 

For small and medium-sized businesses, this new product is exciting! With a primarily B2B focus, it rivals HubSpot, having somewhat comparable features and a simpler learning curve for users. This means marketers can implement and manage their automated marketing activities more easily. Its core features include:

  • Guided setup - drag-and-drop email, landing page, and form builders.

  • ‘Flow Builder’ - an intuitive tool for crafting customer journeys.

  • ‘Engagement Score’ - lead scoring and grading blended.

  • Segmentation - with integration of multiple sources via Data Cloud.

  • Consent management

  • Reporting and analytics dashboards

  • Einstein GPT for generative insights

As of July 16th 2024, Marketing Cloud Growth is available to EMEA and LATAM countries, however, this currently excludes some UMEA countries such as the United Kingdom. According to Salesforce, businesses in Salesforce-defined UMEA regions will gain access to MC Growth later in 2024. Reach out to us to ask if Marketing Cloud Growth is available in your region.

MarCloud CEO, Tom Ryan, has made predictions about what this new product means for the Marketing Cloud product suite in years to come, and to summarise, it’s going to unify everything.

Caveats for the MC Growth EMEA launch

While users in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa are now able to purchase MC Growth, when it comes to the features available, there are some important points to note:

  • For eligible businesses in EMEA, Data Cloud residency (i.e. where your data is stored) must be in Frankfurt, Germany. In LATAM Data Cloud residency is in the US. If a customer requires that their data be stored elsewhere, Salesforce cannot support with MC Growth right now.

  • SMS will not be available for EMEA customers at launch.

  • Einstein Send Time Optimization will also not be available for EMEA customers until later this year.

When will MC Growth launch for UMEA customers?

Unfortunately, there’s no set date for when MC Growth will become available for countries such as the UK, Switzerland, and some parts of the Middle East and Africa… yet. 

Salesforce has advised that MC Growth Edition availability in UMEA countries, including the UK, will roll out later this year but stay tuned for updates! Once we learn of the launch date, we’ll let you know so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter.

Implementing Marketing Cloud Growth

If this announcement has you rushing to implement MC Growth, you’re not alone. At MarCloud, we’ve eagerly awaited the expansion of MC Growth to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, so we can support clients in these regions with getting started. 

Before you do though, focus on these four things:

  1. Preparing your data properly. MC Growth is designed to harness Data Cloud but the tool won’t do your data management for you. Before you start importing data, ensure that it’s clean and correct.

  2. Planning your Flows. It’s the same advice we give to Marketing Cloud Engagement and Account Engagement users. Plan and document your customer journeys before setting up your automated sequences.

  3. Drafting Einstein AI prompts. When creating campaigns in MC Growth, you have the option to give Einstein the details and have AI do the setup for you. As with any AI tool, the end result will only be as good as the prompts you provide, so have a go at drafting these ahead of time.

  4. Knowing your KPIs. MC Growth comes with built-in dashboards, providing analytics powered by Data Cloud, but marketers still need to understand which KPIs are most important to demonstrate real marketing attribution.
